===== Things Needed: =====

  * SiteSync module and project installed

  * API Endpoint of ThingPark instance

  * AppID of ThingPark app you want to add devices to

  * Username and Password of API service account in ThingPark instance

  * URL and connection details of MQTT broker ThingPark is exporting data to [[https://docs.thingpark.com/thingpark-x/latest/Connector/MQTT/#creating-a-connection-from-the-ui|through TPX]]


===== MQTT Connection =====

**Connection Name:** a friendly name for this connection

**Protocol:** SSL or TCP, depending on your MQTT Broker

**IP Address or URL to Listen at:** URL or IP address of MQTT broker, include the port number

**MQTT Topic:** Default TPX topic is mqtt/things/+/uplink

Enter MQTT username and password if configured


===== Join Server =====

**Join Server:** Select ThingPark

**Join Server Address:** API address of ThingPark instance, pattern is https:{yourInstanceAddress}/thingpark/dx  community edition is community.thingpark.io/thingpark/dx


**Application ID:** your ThingPark Connection ID, can be found under Connections.


**Join Username:** Enter username with Device Creation privileges


**Join Password:** Enter corresponding password


API token and Device Profile ID are blocked from edits, because they are not used in an Actility Configuration, but are used with other kinds of network servers.

Hit submit to save settings and activate the MQTT connection.

The Module will try to connect to your broker, and the status label will update with the connection attempts results. Full logs can be found under Data/Diagnostics, searching the term BROKER to see logs related to connecting.
