How to Connect Multitech Conduit to Chirpstack Instance
You will need:
- A Multitech Conduit Gateway
- Running Chirpstack Instance
- Network connection between Gateway and Chirpstack Instance
Conduit Gateway Configuration
Log into your Conduit. In the LoRa>Network menu, select Packet Forwarder.
Open the Server menu. Enter the URL of your running Chirpstack instance. Make the ports 1700 both ways. Save and apply.
Add Gateway to Chirpstack
Log into your Chirpstack instance. Navigate to Gateways.
Click Add Gateway.
It will ask for your Conduit Gateway's ID, you can find this in your Conduit's interface, under LorA/Netowrk.
Paste and save.
Chirpstack will send a message every 30 seconds to the Conduit Gateway to confirm the connection, which will reflect in the Chirpstack Gateway page on the status.
Troubleshooting
What if I don't see a Last Seen At on this gateway in Chirpstack? This means the Conduit and Chirpstack cannot see each other, check the firewall for UPD 1700 between the Chirpstack instance and the Conduit.
What if Chirpstack says my gateway is in the wrong regional band, for example EU868 vs US915? This is a setting in your chirpstack.toml file, or chirpstack-gateway-bridge.toml, set your regional preference there.
